Christmas Writing

The students have been working on their Persuasive Writing.
First, we learned some great tips on how to convince someone with our writing:
 * think of the audience-use language and ideas that will appeal to them
 *exaggerate
 *give facts and details
Together we wrote a letter to Santa to send an Elf on the Shelf,
and we must have sounded convincing because Snowflake came on December 4th!

Next, we learned that Santa needs help in his workshop. We found out our elf names and got down to work.

We filled out an application for a job in the North Pole Head Quarters. Here's a few samples.  Lets see what happens with that!

Then, each student wrote another letter to Santa telling him another animal option to guide his sleigh in-case the reindeer go on strike or need a break... some pretty convincing stuff.

Jingle Bells
We had great fun creating a festive dance for the song Jingle Bells. The goal was to work as a group, come up with a pattern core of 4 dance moves that would be repeated at least 3 times to the song Jingle Bells. Oh what fun!
